East Tennessee Small Business owner holds tight as stock market plunges
As a small business owner, I have been watching CNN and the stock markets today as congress struggles to pass a bill to bailout Wall street. Now, here just about 1 minute after the bill has failed, the stock market is on a downward plunge that some say is unrecoverable. I remember when I was an employee and not a business owner, I would always think the stock markets didn’t really affect me. It is so strange how life’s journeys seem to change a person’s way of thinking.I have not yet felt the financial pressure of this horrific financial issue our country is facing and I understand that simply means I am one of a lucky few as I see some of our clients beginning to feel this as their sales begin to drop in front of our eyes.
Several of our clients are in the real estate business and we have seen them struggle for some time now but today, I am truly afraid of what is yet to come for the entire financial market in the U.S.A.
I can only pray that we all stay together to get through this and that recovery comes swift and fruitful.
