Kingstree, South Carolina October 1, 2007 Since the September 11th press release which announced news of the Free Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Benefit Concert starring Jacob Timmons, Randy Parton and a special video remote appearance by the queen of country music Dolly Parton, excitement and anticipation has taken over the Carolinas from top to bottom. Cherry Grove to Charleston, South Carolinians are making plans to attend this fantastic event. Never has there been so much excitement to fill the air. There were MANY days that I absolutely hated farming and could wish for nothing else than to leave those fields and never look back. Well it’s 10 years this year that I have been in Tennessee (almost 7 hours away fro those fields) and honestly, I just can’t wait to get home now. It’s everything I can do to drive the speed limit once I get off that interstate simply because I am so excited to see my family and catch up on the goings-on. I see now and only now that being raised by a farming family that always struggled to make ends meet did in fact make me a stronger man and for that I am thankful. However the best thing I have found out of all of my searching is that the statewide and nationwide value of friends and family and community stills seems to be holding as strong as ever.

Kingstree, South Carolina September 11, 2007 S.D. Professionals, LLC and The Randy Parton Theater announced today that they will present the First Annual Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Benefit Concert, in an effort to raise awareness throughout South Carolina for the non-profit’s cause, providing children’s books to participating community children every month until the age of five. The family, fun-filled event will feature must-see performances from Jacob Timmons, Randy Parton, Heidi Lou Parton, Ryan Morris and The Moonlight Bandits incorporating a medley of pop, rock, jazz, country, bluegrass, gospel and patriotic music.
As the finale of the 35th Annual Kingstree Pig Pickin Festival, the benefit concert will be held Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Kingstree Recreation Park in Kingstree, South Carolina, compliments of S.D. Professionals, LLC and The Randy Parton Theater. Although admission is completely free, donations will be accepted at the park entrance to help raise funds for the Imagination Library’s early literacy program in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. Additionally, donations are accepted any time on the Imagination Library Web site, www.imaginationlibrary.com, where the proceeds go directly back to the contributing community.
“Since the beginning we have believed and supported in the Imagination Library’s purpose of providing the gift of reading to children at an early age and we will continue to do so in the years to come,” said Jacob Timmons, founder, S.D.
